CC and I (and 6 others) dined at 23 Hoyt earlier this week. The service wasn't the best. She tore them a new one on her blog The Devouring Woman...PS, love the new design, CC.

Thanks! And yeah, I was a little testy. Poor service just pisses me off. I suppose I'm not being fair about the situation but I'm still a little shocked he wouldn't just bring us the bottle and leave it on the table. jerk.
Some people appreciate wine service and clean glassware. I pour my own wine at home. When I go out, I usually expect someone to pour it for me and to have correct and clean glassware.
It is called "service" for a reason
Yeah, I'm all for service, but when the sever keeps pouring wine for people who are clearly not drinking it, giving them glass after glass that remain untouched so that we have to order bottles after bottle... Seems inappropriate. And I am all for clean glasses too, but when you directly ask a server for something, shouldn't they adhere to your wishes?
